1.8 Video Performance

1.8 reflects on the persistent presence of oil as both resource and residue. A hybrid creature, caught within an oil spill, moves through the space, leaving fluid traces on paper.

The work unfolds through this interaction between body and substance, where movement produces marks that accumulate over time. Oil operates not only as a material, but as a condition—binding the figure to a system it cannot fully escape.

These traces remain unstable, registering a process that is both generative and contaminating. Rather than illustrating impact, the work situates the body within it.
