Emerging from the world of The Shedding, Bambi, After is another iteration of a body caught between human, animal and synthetic existence. Part taxidermy, part human reconstruction, she inhabits a state of uneasy transformation. Her vulnerable presence unsettles familiar notions of innocence, identity and the boundaries between species.
